At our heart, we are about building digital confidence so no Australian is left behind.
Bridging the digital divide, one skill at a time.
About Us
PaddyFacts is a Digital Capabilities company, specialising in the Digital Abilities sector.
We build and maintain digital assets - such as training toolkits and workshops - that are designed to improve people's Digital Abilities (Skills and Confidence). These tools assist learners in closing the digital divide.
Digital Ability
What it means: Building the skills, confidence, and adaptability Australians need to use digital technologies safely and effectively.
Why it matters: Access alone isn’t enough. Without the ability to engage online, people miss out on education, jobs, healthcare, and connection.
Example: An older person with an internet connection but without the skills to use a telehealth app cannot benefit from online healthcare.
The Three Pillars of Digital Inclusion:

Affordability = Can I pay for it?
Accessibility = Can I access and use it?
Digital Ability = Do I have the skills and confidence to benefit from it?
In Australia, the digital divide refers to the disparities in access, affordability, and ability to use digital technologies. It reflects the unequal distribution of opportunities to engage in online life. Here’s a detailed breakdown:
- Digital literacy and confidence remain crucial blockers. Even with access, many Australians lack the skills to use the internet effectively. (CSIRO)
- Groups most affected include older Australians, First Nations peoples, those on low incomes, public housing residents, individuals with lower education, and those living in rural or regional areas. (Victorian Womens Trust)
At our heart, we are about digital inclusion, helping ensure every Australian can connect online with confidence.

Our Flagship Campaign: Closing the Digital Divide
Building confidence and bridging the divide, for every Australian.
The Challenge We Face
The digital divide isn't a future problem—it's a present-day barrier that excludes millions of Australians from essential services, education, and community connection. The latest Australian Digital Inclusion Index shows that groups like older Australians, First Nations peoples, and those on low incomes are disproportionately affected. This isn't just a skills gap; it's a gap in opportunity.
Our Vision for an Inclusive Australia
Our campaign imagines an Australia where age, income, background, or location is no longer a barrier to digital participation. We're working towards a future where every single person has the skills and confidence to navigate the digital world safely and effectively.
How We're Taking Action
- Delivering Grassroots Workshops: We partner directly with local libraries, community centres, and non-profits to provide hands-on training where it's needed most.
- Creating Accessible Toolkits: We co-design easy-to-understand training materials that break down complex topics into simple, actionable steps for everyone.
- Championing Digital Equity: We use our platform to advocate for policies and practices that promote digital inclusion and fight against the spread of misinformation online.
Building a More Inclusive Digital Australia
According to the Australian Digital Inclusion Index, nearly a quarter of Australians remain digitally excluded. This divide limits access to essential services, employment opportunities, and social connection. PaddyFacts is here to close that gap.
