At our heart, we are about building digital confidence so no Australian is left behind.
Bridging the digital divide, one skill at a time.
About Us
PaddyFacts is a Digital Capabilities company, specialising in the Digital Abilities sector.
We build and maintain digital assets - such as training toolkits and workshops - that are designed to improve people's Digital Abilities (Skills and Confidence). These tools assist learners in closing the digital divide. In Australia, this digital devide amounts to 6.6 million Australians (ADIA). This represents almost a quarter of the Australian population.
Digital Ability
What it means: Building the skills, confidence, and adaptability Australians need to use digital technologies safely and effectively.
Why it matters: Access alone isn’t enough. Without the ability to engage online, people miss out on education, jobs, healthcare, and social connection.
Example: An older person with an internet connection but without the skills to use a telehealth app cannot benefit from online healthcare.
The Three Pillars of Digital Inclusion:
Framework courtesy of the Australian Digital Inclusion Alliance (ADIA).
Affordability = Can I pay for it?
Accessibility = Can I access and use it?
Digital Ability = Do I have the skills and confidence to benefit from it?
In Australia, the digital divide refers to the disparities in access, affordability, and ability to use digital technologies. It reflects the unequal distribution of opportunities to engage in online life. Here’s a detailed breakdown:
- Digital literacy and confidence remain crucial blockers. Even with access, many Australians lack the skills to use the internet effectively. (CSIRO)
- Groups most affected include older Australians, First Nations peoples, those on low incomes, public housing residents, individuals with lower education, and those living in rural or regional areas. (Victorian Womens Trust)
We focus on digital enablement, providing the pathways necessary to transform basic access into true digital capability.

Our Flagship Campaign: Closing the Digital Divide
Advancing digital literacy into lifelong digital capability.
The Challenge We Face: 6.6 Million Austrlians Are Digitally Excluded
While the barriers to digital inclusion are well-documented across Australia, our focus is entirely on the solution through active digital enablement. We move beyond simply identifying the skills gap or teaching baseline digital literacy; we actively facilitate the pathways necessary to transform foundational knowledge into lifelong, robust digital capabilities. We do this by translating complex digital concepts, such Digital Labour Market Engagement, AI and Cybersecurity Awarness, into easily accessible action based outcomes. We ensure that digital potential is converted into tangible opportunities for those most at risk of exclusion.
Our recent longitudinal study with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities demonstrate this 20 hour rapid-conversion model in action. Data gathered from our West Melbourne - Werribee, Broadmeadows, Meltone and Sunshine training cohorts reveals a definitive shift from passive digital exclusion to active workforce integration. Across these surveyed cohorts (n=73):
- 100% of participants reported an improved ability to utilize their mobile devices.
- 100% of learners gained a better understanding of the Australian job market.
- 100% of respondents successfully produced and were satisfied with their newly updated, highly visual resumes.
This data-driven evidence confirms that a 100% class-wide technical completion rate is achievable when instruction is mapped to practical outcomes.
By providing learners with tangible, employer-aligned digital competencies, they exit the program ready to engage confidently with real-world job opportunities—effectively closing the digital divide, one skill at a time.
Our Vision for an Inclusive Australia
Our campaign imagines an Australia where age, income, background, or location is no longer a barrier to digital participation. We're working towards a future where every single person has the skills and confidence to navigate the digital world safely and effectively.

- Championing Digital Equity: We use our platform to advocate for policies and practices that promote digital inclusion and fight against the spread of misinformation online.
Building a More Inclusive Digital Australia
According to the Australian Digital Inclusion Index, nearly a quarter of Australians remain digitally excluded. This divide limits access to essential services, employment opportunities, and social connection. PaddyFacts is here to close that gap.
